Application Description
The Playback application runs the on the IPC’s TradeCental platform. The TradeCental is a development platform for the Application Module. The Application Module provides telephony and touch screen applications to the financial industry in an integrated communication hub.
The Playback application allows the user to playback their recorded calls. The application is a Java applet running on the Application module hardware from IPC communicating with a servlet on the TradeCentral Server. The application provides users with the ability to playback the recorded calls on their Application Module which is connected to the phone “Turret”. The touch screen application uses APIs provided by NICE to connect to their CLS (Call Logging Service) to issue playback requests for a particular user.
The application provides traders with a simple and secure method to play back phone calls placed or answered on the IPC turret. The most recent calls will be available quickly, and the application provides a search capability for other calls. The trader will be able to search for calls by time and date of call as well as by the distant end phone number both for outbound (dialed) calls and for inbound calls via caller line ID (if provided).
